''We liked each other a little too much to just be friends.''
Ellemijn and Simon met in high school, in the same group of friends. They quickly realized they liked each other as more than friends, and things moved fast: within three weeks, they were together. They were seventeen.
Since the start of their relationship in 2017, they haven't been apart. Ellemijn is from Oostzaan, and Simon was born in Amsterdam: the same city where their story began. In 2022, they took a big step together: a home of their own, right in the heart of Amsterdam.
Their home, on the second floor in the Dapperbuurt, is typically Amsterdam: cozy and full of character.
They love the city life it offers: working out around the corner, drinks in the sun on the terrace, and cycling to work. Their family became complete not long ago with the arrival of labradoodle Leo.
Their Couple Lovemap marks where it all began: Amsterdam. They chose the Nature Lovers color combination, in a natural wood frame, a perfect match for the wooden floors and green tones in their home. Given their home's compact size, they opted for a 60x40 design. The Lovemap hangs in their living room, a daily reminder of where they come from and where they are now: together, with Leo, in a home of their own.
