Lovestory - Onur & Marieke
They've known since they were just 14 years old: "we belong together."
Onur and Marieke met each other in high school in Amsterdam. They haven't spent a day apart since. They started out together in a cozy 39m² studio in the heart of the city, where they built their own bedroom. Two degrees, two apartments, and one big wedding later, they decided to leave their beloved Amsterdam after all, in search of more space.
When Marieke was pregnant, they traded their apartment for their dream home with a large green garden.
An original Zaans house, which they renovated inside and out: walls knocked down, everything stripped back and rebuilt from scratch.
The original details were given new life: the wooden facade in its original dark green color, the fireplace, the stained-glass window, and the wooden paneling in the bedrooms. Their interior is a mix of classic and modern: lots of wood and vintage pieces, combined with a sleek Japandi look with Eastern influences.

Their Couple Lovemap brings their worlds together
She's from Amsterdam East, he's from Amsterdam North. At the bottom are two small dots, symbolizing dog Benji and son Kübilay. The tones of Coffee Lovers blend seamlessly with their interior. The Lovemap hangs above the dining table, right where the taupe kitchen flows into the large, light-filled living room.
