The perfect presentation for your personal Lovemap

Materials and finishes

Materials and finishes that ensure your personal Lovemap lasts a lifetime.

At Lovemap Studio, we design artworks that bring personal stories to life. That's why we believe it's important that our works are not only beautiful the moment you receive them, but also retain the same quality and clarity for decades to come.

We work with materials that you would normally only find in museums or high-end photo studios. Below, you'll discover how your Lovemap is made and which finish best suits your interior and style.

1 Hahnemühle Museum Etching®

Every Lovemap starts with our favorite fine art paper: Hahnemühle Museum Etching® (350 gsm). 100% cotton. Museum quality that remains stable for decades.

This is one of the most respected papers in the museum and gallery world, and has been used for high-quality art reproductions for years.

What 'museum quality' means:

  • Archival / conservation quality
The paper is completely acid-free, free of optical brighteners, and made from 100% cotton. This prevents discoloration and yellowing.

  • Pigment prints with high color density
We print with advanced pigment inks known for their exceptional longevity.

  • Matte, velvety texture
The grain of Museum Etching enhances the abstract forms of our Lovemaps and gives them a tactile, serene look that matches our design DNA.

  • Perfect for soft transitions
The structure of the paper holds pigment in a way that makes subtle color gradients extra rich. Ideal for the abstract, poetic forms of your Lovemap.

This high-quality paper forms the basis for every subsequent finish.

Which finish best suits your Lovemap?

Choose Dibond with a floating frame (2) - if you want a premium, spatial, and ultra-durable museum-quality presentation.
Choose Dibond without a frame (3) - if you like clean, modern, and sturdy at an attractive price.
Choose a standard frame (4) - if you want to emphasize the soft paper texture and go for an accessible option.
Whichever option you choose: your Lovemap will be made according to fine art standards and is designed to last for years, just like the story it holds.

2 Dibond with luxury tray frame

A Lovemap on Dibond with a tray frame is the finish that comes closest to modern museum presentations in terms of both appearance and durability.

Why Dibond is so popular in the art world:

  • Completely flat, even in large formats
Dibond is an aluminum composite that does not warp, bulge, and remains completely taut. Essential for high-end presentations.

  • Advanced bonding for conservation
The print is applied to the Dibond with museum-quality adhesive, ensuring the paper is optimally protected and remains perfectly flat for years.

  • Floating effect in the tray frame
The tray frame creates a subtle shadow edge around the print, creating a modern, luxurious depth. This is exactly the same style you see in high-end galleries.

  • Extra protection & long lifespan
The print is laminated with a protective fine art top layer that repels dirt, dust, and UV light without glare or reflection.

Why we recommend this finish the most:
It is the finish in which a personal work of art looks the most spatial, mature, and timeless. Elegant luxury without shouting for attention.

3 Dibond without frame

Dibond without a frame gives you a clean, sleek presentation reminiscent of contemporary photography exhibitions. Minimalism, sturdiness, and a modern museum look at an accessible price.

Museum-level advantages:

  • Highly durable: Dibond is resistant to temperature fluctuations, light, and moisture.
  • Archival bonding: the same bonding technique as with the tray frame option.
  • Borderless design: perfect for modern, minimalist interiors.
  • More budget-friendly than the tray frame, without compromising on material quality.

It's the most accessible way to still achieve a fine art museum finish.

4 Print in standard list

With this finish, the charm of the Hahnemühle paper remains fully visible. The print is professionally cut, placed behind glass, and framed in a high-quality standard frame. Accessible, stylish, and ideal when you want to preserve the pure paper look.

Why this option is still museum-worthy:

  • The paper remains untouched by gluing or mounting, great for purists.
  • Glass protects against dust and touch.
  • Fits into any interior and is ideal as a gift.

And although this is our most accessible finish, the Museum Etching paper still gives it the appearance of true fine art.
